Maison Crivelli Tobacco Carnaval is a dark, intoxicating tobacco-gourmand Extrait de Parfum created by Quentin Bisch and released in 2026. Inspired by Thibaud Crivelli’s memory of an unpredictable carnival celebration filled with music and exhilaration, the fragrance pairs raw tobacco with warm, infused rum, fruity sweetness, spice and smoke.
Rather than publishing a traditional note pyramid, Maison Crivelli deliberately keeps the complete formula mysterious. What emerges immediately is tobacco—rich, textured and slightly raw—surrounded by warm spices and smoke. There is a darker, almost smoldering quality beneath the sweetness that keeps the composition from becoming a straightforward gourmand.
The fragrance quickly develops its more decadent side. A fruity, liqueur-like rum accord flows through the tobacco, creating the impression of dark spirits infused with ripe fruit. A gourmand sweetness rounds the sharper edges, giving Tobacco Carnaval an almost syrupy richness while the tobacco remains firmly at its center.
As it settles, the composition becomes warmer, smoother and increasingly enveloping. The initial spice and smoke soften into a dense mixture of sweet tobacco, booze, woods and gourmand warmth. At 32% concentration, it has the richness expected of Maison Crivelli’s Extrait de Parfum collection.
Tobacco Carnaval feels like stumbling into a secret carnival after midnight—heavy burgundy curtains, hundreds of candles flickering through tobacco smoke, a glass of dark rum on the table and bowls of ripe berries and spices nearby.
