Louis Vuitton Étoile Filante is a luminous floral-fruity fragrance inspired by the fleeting brilliance of a shooting star. Created by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud and launched in 2021, it combines succulent red fruit with an unusually transparent floral heart, creating something bright, optimistic and effortlessly elegant.
The opening revolves around strawberry, but not in the sugary candy-like direction often associated with the fruit. Instead, it feels freshly picked and slightly tart, bringing a juicy red-fruit sparkle that immediately gives Étoile Filante its playful personality.
The fragrance quickly expands into its floral centerpiece: osmanthus, jasmine and magnolia. Osmanthus bridges the fruity and floral sides beautifully, introducing its characteristic apricot-like sweetness and delicate leathery nuance.
