The opening centers on raspberry, red currant and saffron. Raspberry provides a lush, tart sweetness while red currant adds a brighter, slightly acidic fruitiness. Saffron immediately darkens the combination with its warm, leathery-spicy character, preventing the red-fruit opening from becoming overly playful or sugary.
