Sahara by Gissah is a refined woody floral musk fragrance for women and men, released in 2024. Built around the contrast of sparkling bergamot and aromatic lavender against powdery orris, orange blossom and warm resinous woods, Sahara captures two sides of the desert—cool, airy freshness at first, followed by the enveloping warmth of sandalwood and labdanum.
The opening combines bergamot and lavender. Bergamot brings a crisp citrus brightness while lavender adds a clean, aromatic character. Together they create an unexpectedly fresh introduction, more reminiscent of cool desert air at sunrise than the dense amber profile its name might initially suggest.
At the heart, orris and orange blossom soften the composition considerably. Orris introduces an elegant, almost velvety powderiness while orange blossom adds luminous white-floral sweetness.
