Electimuss Trajan Noir is a 2026 citrus-aromatic extrait that takes the radiant character of the original Trajan and pushes it into a richer, more substantial direction. Created by perfumer Marco Genovese, it inaugurates Electimuss’ Noir Collection—an exploration of established house signatures with greater depth, presence and longevity.
The opening is unapologetically bright. Mandarin, lemon, bergamot and blood orange create a dense rush of sparkling citrus—juicy and energetic rather than conventionally fresh. There is a Mediterranean quality to it, but underneath that brightness you can already sense the darker structure waiting to emerge.
As the citrus settles, lavender and sage introduce a clean aromatic character while saffron supplies warmth and a subtly exotic spiciness. This middle section is where Trajan Noir begins shifting away from pure luminosity: herbal freshness becomes warmer, smoother and increasingly textured as the fragrance develops.
The foundation of cedar, oakmoss and ambergris gives Trajan Noir its weight. Cedar provides dry woody structure, oakmoss brings an earthy, slightly shadowy character, and ambergris creates a warm mineral depth beneath the brighter notes. Rather than abandoning the DNA of Trajan, Noir deliberately amplifies it into something fuller and more persistent.
Trajan Noir feels like the Roman Empire at twilight—blood orange and bergamot glowing against marble columns before lavender, sage and saffron drift through clouds of incense. As darkness settles over the palace, cedar and moss emerge beneath the smoke while ambergris leaves a warm, mineral trail across cold stone. Radiance and darkness coexist: imperial, polished and commanding.
