Byredo Havana Tonka Extrait de Parfum
Havana Tonka by Byredo is a rich, intoxicating woody-gourmand fragrance built around the warmth of tobacco, rum and tonka bean. Deep and enveloping, it evokes the atmosphere of Havana after dark—aged spirits, aromatic tobacco and polished woods wrapped in a smooth veil of sweetness.
The opening immediately introduces a rum accord and pink pepper, creating a boozy, warmly spiced first impression. The rum is dark and rounded rather than sharply alcoholic, while pink pepper provides enough brightness and lift to keep the opening vibrant.
At the heart, tobacco leaves and labdanum deepen the composition. Tobacco brings a dry, earthy richness with subtly sweet nuances, while resinous labdanum adds an ambered, almost leathery warmth. Together they create a dense and sophisticated center that feels smoky without becoming overly harsh.
The drydown is dominated by tonka bean, vanilla and sandalwood, transforming the darker tobacco character into something smoother and more sensual. Tonka delivers its characteristic almond-like, coumarinic sweetness, vanilla adds creamy warmth, and sandalwood provides a soft woody foundation that lingers close to the skin.

Havana Tonka Extrait de Parfum is dark, warm and unapologetically sensual—a fragrance where boozy spice and tobacco gradually melt into creamy tonka, vanilla and woods. Richer and more concentrated in its Extrait presentation, it carries an intimate yet luxurious character particularly suited to evenings, cooler weather and anyone drawn to deep tobacco-gourmand compositions.
